One phone, or two
Hand it over across the sofa, or keep your own phone. Both work.
Pass the phone. Our Little Thing works on a single phone. You answer, you hand it over, you reveal together. Nothing has to leave the device for that.
Or pair up. Partner pairing is optional and off unless you choose it. If you pair with someone, each of you keeps your own phone, and the shared records that travel between you are encrypted on your device first. The pairing service is designed not to receive your plain answers.
Photos you attach to memories stay on your phone. They are not part of the encrypted partner record flow.
Private by design
Your answers stay on your device. Our Little Thing contains no advertising SDKs and no remote behavioural analytics. Used on one phone, nothing about your answers, notes, or memories is sent anywhere for the app to work.
If you choose partner pairing, the service handles account credentials and the metadata it needs to connect the two of you: pair membership, key fingerprints, entitlement ownership, and your encrypted shared records. Encryption reduces exposure, but no security measure is perfect. Read the full privacy policy for exactly what is stored and when.

Share your invite code only with the person you mean to share it with, and know that disconnecting a pair cannot undo what someone already saw.

If you pair, you decide who gets your invite code. Share it only with the person you mean to share it with. A paired partner may see content you choose to share through the paired experience.
Disconnecting cannot undo what someone already saw. Revoking or disconnecting a pair can stop future access. It cannot retract information the other person already saw, remembered, photographed, or separately saved.
Do not use Our Little Thing to threaten, harass, monitor, coerce, or endanger another person.
Pairing is optional. If using a shared feature could place you at risk, use the local-only features on one phone, or stop using the paired service.

Questions people ask us
Do we both need the app?
No. Our Little Thing works on one phone: answer, hand it over, reveal together. Pairing two phones is optional and only happens if you choose it.
Is Premium a subscription?
Yes. Premium is a monthly or yearly subscription that renews automatically until you cancel it through the App Store or Google Play. Deleting the app does not cancel it.
What’s the difference between the romantic and friendship lanes?
You choose one when you set up. It changes the wording throughout. The same 150 ideas read as date ideas for romance and things to do for friendship, and the prompts and notes are tailored to match.
Can my partner see everything?
A paired partner may see content you choose to share through the paired experience. Disconnecting or revoking a pair can stop future access, but it cannot retract anything they already saw or saved. See sharing safely.
Does it score our relationship?
No. You can look back through your shared story, but the app does not rate, rank, or grade the relationship.
Can I get my data out?
Yes. You can export a backup file at any time. It is an ordinary JSON file that stays on your device unless you move it somewhere yourself, and the app does not encrypt it, so store it somewhere you trust. Note that the backup does not make your memory photo files portable; those stay on the phone.
